Sometimes, using beauty products bought from drugstores, beauty stores and the supermarket can harm the skin. These products, will already from well-known brands and institutions in the industry, contain chemicals that could trigger the development of skin breakouts and other skin conditions. They may have these awesome smell and the effects of using the products are instant (coz that’s the chemical working!) Give your face a break and try using homemade and organic kitchen finds with these suggestions:


1. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is excellent for the skin. It is great for exfoliation and to help improve the texture of the skin. The oatmeal can also be used to help reduce redness, irritation and other skin problems like acne, eczema and dermatitis.


2. Honey

Honey is one of the most common ingredients used in natural skin care recipes. It contains antibacterial properties which make it great for healing wounds, soothing sore throats and it also helps to treat acne. Honey’s antibacterial properties help to keep bacteria at bay. It also helps moisturize the skin and it helps to keep it hydrated. It is also great for exfoliation.


3. Egg Whites

Egg whites are one of the most popular home remedies for acne. They contain salicylic acid which helps to unclog pores and remove excess oil from the skin. Egg whites are also great for exfoliation because they contain natural proteins that help to get rid of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin.


4. Yogurt

Yogurt contains lactic acid which helps to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. It is also rich in proteins which helps to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. Yogurt can be used as a facial mask or as a body scrub. It is great for treating acne and it helps to reduce redness and irritation on the face and on other parts of the body. Yogurt is also great for treating eczema and dermatitis on the face and body as well as dry patches on the face and body. If you have dry, aging or sensitive skin, yogurt can be very beneficial as an anti-aging treatment as well as a moisturizer.


5. Papaya

Papaya contains papain which is an enzyme that helps to exfoliate dead skin cells from the surface of the skin as well as help reduce inflammation and redness on the skin by removing excess oil from oily or acne-prone skin types. Papaya can be used as a facial mask or as a body scrub and is great for treating acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and other skin conditions like dry patches on the face and body as well as aging or sensitive skin types. Papaya is great for preventing wrinkles too! Use it regularly with your daily routine to help remove dead skin cells from your face more efficiently, thus helping your face look younger, longer!
